• For government projects, how is the implementation of SidePlate™ connection technology conducted?
  
  Notwithstanding the fact that the SidePlate connection system is a patented technology, its implementation on government projects is conducted contractually in the same way as any other design provided by an engineering firm. It is competitively bid as an integral part of the Project's structural steel design package, and can be fabricated and erected by any reputable steel contractor that satisfies the Project's quality control requirements.
  
  With this understanding, SidePlate Systems, Inc. has historically contracted directly with multiple government agencies and departments for the use of SidePlate™ connection technology on their projects, including SidePlate's design and construction support services. Alternately for design/build projects with the government, SidePlate has been subcontracted to the general contractor/architect-engineer.
